Purple Jasmine (four-point flower) takes its name from the opening hours in the evening.
Mirabilis seeds are very easy to germinate and shrubby-like plants can grow to a height and width of 18-36 inches (45-90 cm).
The germination rate of purple jasmine seeds is high but it needs to germinate in warm soil. The best temperature for their germination is 65-75F (18-23 degrees Celsius) keeping the seeds moist it takes only 10 – 14 days to grow into seedlings.
Note: The seeds of Mirabilis are toxic and should not be eaten.

In areas where freezing is likely to occur the roots of plants need to be carried out in winter and they are removed at the end of spring. When planted indoors the potting soil is added to compost and sand and the sun is full. Balanced liquid fertilizer should be used every month to ensure adequate moisture. Keep dry in winter.
